External sensors will prevent burglars from reaching your house.

Break-in. Richmond Street, 29/01/2014, 02:30.

The garage was broken into but nothing was stolen.

Trespassing. Peddie Street 31/01/2014,3:00.

When the resident heard a noise outside the house she opened the front door and noticed two trespassers on the outside of the safety door. The trespassers disappeared when they noticed the lady.

THEFT Hofmeyer Street. 15/01/2014, 11:30.

The resident found some of his property in his employee’s possession. The thief was arrested and handed over to the Police.

DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

15/01/2014, 03:00.

While the RHEV-BRINANT officer was busy patrolling in Selby street, stones were thrown at the vehicle.

ATTEMPTED HOUSE BREAK

Paarl Street. 17/10/2014 02:00

The resident was awakened when the burglars were busy bending the burglar bars at the window. They were presumably scared away by the resident and fled over the fence.

Burglary and Theft

Sout Street, 10 January 2014. 01:24

The alarm system is linked to a control room. The sensors in the house were switched on but the cameras and outside sensors were switched off.

The alarm in the house was triggered by the burglars. The RHEV-BRINANT officer arrived atb the scene within two minutes, but the burglars were already gone with a TV.

The burglars escaped over the rear wall on the Golf course side.

Visitors’ vehicle that was parked on the sidewalk was broken into and the radio removed.

RHEV-Wingate Park were notified of the following incidents, and did the investigations, that occurred in Wingate Park:

Attempted Burglary
(RHEV & BRINANT members – alarm was switched on)
Oudtshoorn Street, 01 January 2014, 02:30

The external alarm beams were triggered by trespassers. The sound of the siren probably scared them away. During the Officer’s investigation he found that the trespassers’ escape route was through a neighbour’s property without an alarm.

Voorkom dat inbrekers julle huis bereik deur sensors buite die huis te installeer.

Inbraak. Richmondstraat, 30/01/2014, 02:30.

Die motorhuisdeur is oopgebreek sonder dat iets gesteel is.

Betreding. Peddiestraat, 31/01/2014, 3:00.

Die inwoner ŉ geluid buite die huis gehoor, toe sy die voordeur oopgemaak. Die twee vreemdelinge wat aan die buitekant van die voordeur was het onmiddellik gevlug.

DIEFSTAL Hofmeyerstraat. 15/01/2014, 11:30.

‘n Eienaar het van sy besittings in sy werknemer se besit gevind. Die dief is in hegtenis geneem en deur die Polisie weggeneem.

BESKADIGING VAN EIENDOM

15/01/2014, 03:00.

Terwyl die RHEV-BRINANT offisier, per motor in Selbystraat patrolleer het, is die motor, vanuit die oop veld, met klippe gegooi.

GEPOOGDE INBRAAK

Paarlstraat. 17/10/2014, 02:00.

Die inwoner het wakker geword terwyl die inbrekers besig was om die diefwering in vensterraam weg te buig. Toe die inbrekers die eienaar gewaar het hulle op die vlug geslaan en oor die heining verdwyn.

Inbraak en diefstal
Soutstraat, 10 Januarie 2014. 01:24

Hierdie huishouding het `n beheerkamer gekoppelde alarm met buitesensors en kameras. Net die alarmsensors in die huis was aangeskakel.

Die inwoners is uitstedig.

Die inbrekers het tydens die ingebraak die alarm ge-aktiveer. Die RHEV-BRINANT Reaksie offisier was binne twee minute op die toneel maar die inbrekers was reeds weg. `n TV word vermis.

Die inbrekers het vanuit die veld aan die Golfbaan se kant gekom en ontsnap.

Inbraak by motor en diefstal
Kendrewstraat, 10 Januarie 2014. 23:00

Daar is by besoekers se motor wat op die sypaadjie parkeer was ingebreek. Die motorradio gesteel.

Skakel gerus 082 883 1127 indien julle ‘n geel kanarie vermis.

Alarmsein het waarskynlik betreder(s) laat vlug.
Tydens nadere ondersoek deur die RHEV-BRINANT Offisier is gevind dat betreder(s) deur naburige erf gekom het waar daar lae mure en geen alarm is nie.

The author, Chris Visser, is part of the Himalayan partnership in South Africa focussing on Tibet and recently had the privilege to be part of a Prayer journey to the country of Tibet. We had some interesting experiences. The trip was challenging and exciting at the same time.

The Bad news is that criminals mainly target the properties without alarms and the properties with alarms but with no or slow reaction.
